Linda’s journey was marked by a deep love for animals, a passion for finance, and an adventurous spirit that touched the lives of those around her. Linda, 64, began her academic journey at UNC-Asheville, where she laid the foundation for her future pursuits. Later, she earned her MBA from Western Carolina University, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning and personal development.

Linda’s expertise and commitment left a lasting impact on the organizations she served. Known for her compassion, Linda was a devoted animal lover. Her heart was especially open to retired racing greyhounds, exemplifying her commitment to animal welfare. She extended her passion by purchasing a giraffe, Lewis, for the Pittsburgh Zoo. Linda’s love for rescues and her tireless efforts to support their well-being showcased her deep empathy and sense of responsibility towards animals.

Linda’s zest for life led her to embrace adventure, from ocean cruises that brought her closer to the vastness of the sea to testing her luck in the vibrant city of Las Vegas. Her love for exploring new horizons and engaging in diverse experiences reflected a free-spirited nature that endeared her to many. Linda leaves behind a legacy of cherished relationships. She is survived by her husband, Mark Fairhead, and her brother, James Richard (Rick) Youngblood, along with his wife Rosanne.
