Linda, 64, began her academic journey at UNC-Asheville, where she laid the foundation for her future pursuits. Later, she earned her MBA from Western Carolina University, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning and personal development.
Her professional endeavors led her to Pittsburgh, PA, where she contributed significantly to the finance departments of Westinghouse Electric and Eaton Corporation. Linda’s expertise and commitment left a lasting impact on the organizations she served. Known for her compassion, Linda was a devoted animal lover. Her heart was especially open to retired racing greyhounds, exemplifying her commitment to animal welfare. She extended her passion by purchasing a giraffe, Lewis, for the Pittsburgh Zoo. Linda’s love for rescues and her tireless efforts to support their well-being showcased her deep empathy and sense of responsibility towards animals.
Linda’s zest for life led her to embrace adventure, from ocean cruises that brought her closer to the vastness of the sea to testing her luck in the vibrant city of Las Vegas. Her love for exploring new horizons and engaging in diverse experiences reflected a free-spirited nature that endeared her to many. Linda leaves behind a legacy of cherished relationships. She is survived by her husband, Mark Fairhead, and her brother, James Richard (Rick) Youngblood, along with his wife Rosanne. Her niece, Casey, and nephew, Nick, hold dear memories of their beloved aunt. Linda’s departure is preceded by her parents, Joan and Jerry Youngblood.
To celebrate Linda’s rich and fulfilling life, a Celebration of Life ceremony is scheduled for February 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at Connolley’s Sports Grill, 2605 W Carefree Hwy, Phoenix AZ. Friends, family, and associates are invited to gather, share stories, and pay tribute to a remarkable woman.
