Mika Brzezinski (born Mika Emilie Leonia Brzezinski in New York, New York on May 2, 1967) is an American television host, author and journalist. She co-hosts MSNBC’s weekday morning broadcast Morning Joe with Joe Scarborough. She began her journalism career as an assistant at ABC’s World News This Morning in 1990. She then joined CBS affiliate WFSB-TV/WFSB-DT and became the weekday morning anchor in 1995. Mika left that role to join the CBS network news, where she served as a correspondent and anchor for the overnight “Up to the Minute” news program. She later filed reports for NBC Nightly News and appeared as an occasional anchor on Weekend Today. Mika resigned from both shows when Joe selected her to co-host Morning Joe. She also authored the motivational book, All Things at Once, in 2010. In 2016, Donald Trump accused Mika and Joe of having an affair, calling her “his very insecure long-time girlfriend.”

Mika married TV news reporter James Patrick Hoffer on Oct. 23, 1993. They share two daughters together, Emile and Carlie Hoffer. The pair divorced in 2016 after 23 years of marriage. On May 4, 2016, almost a year after her divorce, Mika and co-host Joe Scarborough confirmed their engagement, also confirming the rumors of their romantic relationship. They got married on Nov. 24, 2018.
